01

Set up the app before the first document

Open Settings and complete the business profile first. Your business name, logo, payment instructions, tax defaults, numbering, default terms, visible document types, and export preferences become reusable starting points.

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Complete Business Profile and Document Defaults.
  3. Create a short test document and export it before using Verbadoc on a live job.
02

Voice to Document did not produce the expected draft

Voice to Document never replaces your review. It turns an approved transcript into a proposed structure, and trade language, pricing, quantities, names, and dates should be checked before the document is created.

  1. Confirm Microphone and Speech Recognition access in iOS Settings.
  2. Record in a quieter place or paste a corrected transcript.
  3. Review the transcript before continuing.
  4. If parsing fails, keep the transcript and try again when the connection is stable.
03

Visual Logs, guides, and photos

Guided Visual Logs can require steps, minimum photo counts, prompts, and multiple photos per exhibit. Photos from the same guide step stay grouped together in the final document.

  • Use skipped-step review before exporting.
  • Add notes or annotations while you still remember why the photo matters.
  • If a photo permission changes, reopen iOS Settings and allow the access needed for the capture method you chose.
04

Export, share, and follow-up

PDF generation happens on the device. Share opens the system share sheet when available; Export saves a file you can open from Files if a destination is missing. Follow-up reminders can remain in-app or use local notifications when you allow them.

05

Backup, restore, and moving devices

Verbadoc is local-first, so do not assume reinstalling the app will restore your working library. Create a recovery file and save it somewhere you control before replacing a device, deleting the app, or making a major change.

  • Treat recovery files like business records.
  • Verify a new backup after important changes.
  • Do not email a recovery file to support unless support explicitly requests a safe diagnostic sample.

STILL NEED A HAND?

A real person reads every support message.

Write from any address you’re comfortable using. Include the app version and device details; never send passwords, payment-card details, private links, or sensitive content.
